DJ Garth Mixtapes

Born and raised in England, DJ Garth (Garth Wynne-Jones) moved to San Francisco in 1990 and quickly became a central figure in the city's dance scene. In 1991, alongside fellow UK transplants Jenö, Thomas, and Markie, he co-founded the Wicked Sound System and organized the monthly Full Moon parties that helped ignite West Coast rave culture. Wicked Records' first major release was Garth's 1996 collaboration with E.T.I., "20 Minutes of Disco Glory," which became a defining SF house anthem and was later featured on the soundtrack to the film Groove. By 1998 he had founded his own imprint, Grayhound Recordings - named after the Wicked tour bus - cementing his place as one of the era's most prolific voices in American underground house.
