From North East England

Lee Johnson, known as L Double, is a British DJ and producer from the north east of England who began his career in the early 1990s. His early work with the group Unique 3 produced three UK Top 30 hits, helping lay the groundwork for British house music and the early jungle sound, and in the mid-1990s he founded the label Flex Records, releasing tracks including "Bass 2 Dark" and "The Mad Phunk." He later became one of the faces of BBC 1Xtra's drum and bass programming.
