Biography
Danny Howells was born in Hastings, England, in 1970, and got his start DJing at local clubs in the late 1980s. In 1991 Bedrock founder John Digweed heard one of his mix tapes and invited him to join the Bedrock club nights, and Howells spent nine years as Digweed's warm-up DJ at the club, later based at Heaven in London.
He began his Nocturnal Frequencies mix series in 1999 and formed the production duo Science Department with Dick Trevor, and was voted number ten in DJ Magazine's 2001 Top 100 DJs poll. He's held residencies at Renaissance, Twilo, and Home, mixed several Global Underground albums, and founded his own label, Dig Deeper, in 2008.
