Apollo

Apollo Novicio, known as DJ Apollo, was born in the Philippines and grew up in San Francisco and Daly City, California, getting his start at garage parties in the early 1980s. In 1992 he, Mix Master Mike, and Q-Bert, then known as the Rock Steady DJs, won the DMC World Team title, and the trio went on to found the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, one of the most influential turntablist crews in hip hop history.

He later formed Triple Threat with fellow turntablists Shortkut and Vinroc, and has been inducted into the DMC DJ Hall of Fame, the International Turntablist Federation's Grand Wizard Theodore Award, and the Hip Hop Slam Hall of Fame. He's one of the few DJs to have appeared on all three major late-night talk shows, including Letterman, Leno, and Conan O'Brien.
