Andrew Rawnsley, known to fans and peers as Rawno, was a music editor for XLR8R magazine in San Francisco during the mid-to-late 1990s, working out of the magazine's offices near Haight and Ashbury. He contributed as a writer and curator on features including the magazine's overview of the Chicago house scene, and often spoke as an industry voice on the distribution struggles facing independent electronic labels. He was also an active DJ.
