Acid Pimp

Tom Newman, who also records as Acid Pimp and Poker, has been part of Detroit's electronic music scene since the early 1990s, headlining the city's legendary underground warehouse parties throughout the decade. He's released classic tracks on Cheshire and early D-Records, and in 2002 started Friction Detroit, known for its weekly event at The Works nightclub, where he held his first residency.
