From London, England

69db has been pushing the boundaries of live improvised sets since 1991, becoming a key innovator in the UK's 1990s Hardtec and Tribe scenes. He was a founding member of Spiral Tribe and co-founded Network 23 Recordings, the label that came to define the sound of the free party movement, later forming the duo R-Zac with Crystal Distortion.

A renewed interest in 90s hard techno brought a wave of sold-out releases in 2023, including four EPs on Berlin's Sound Metaphors and a double EP and five-record box set on Rotterdam's PRSPCT. He and Crystal Distortion responded by launching the 23 Records or Bust! series, reissuing records from their catalog, with the first nine pressings selling out within a year.

In early 2024 he debuted Rooted Sky under a new project, Wave Arising, a collaboration with movement specialist Kynsie Serre blending ambient, tribal, experimental, and hard techno. Resident Advisor named the project's live set one of the standout performances at that year's Dekmantel festival.
